Evidence from Astronomy


The reader may think that questioning the basis for science is foolish. My answer is that the Bible says that if I think I am wise in this age [touto aeon], let me become foolish that I may become wise. (I Corinthians 3:18) The biblical answer lies in the direction that the world thinks is foolish.  How can what is verified with repeatable experiments and mathematical proofs be foolish? Science provides precise mathematical predictions in the near term because they contrived their way of measuring, their constants, their mathematics, their methods and their laws on their assumption that the properties of matter are not emergent.  Using this assumption, they constructed their ways of measuring, their constants and their mathematical laws.  Even their experimental system presupposes that the properties of matter are fixed and unchanging.  Their laws and ways of measuring predict local phenomena with precision.  What if matter were changing relationally? 

If matter changes as a relation, science could invent a system that precisely models the present.  However,  mathematical attempts at understanding the distant universe would fail miserably because distant (long ago) matter was not the same as modern matter.  It is because they presume that matter is not changing relationally that the scientific universe is mythical.  The scientific universe is 99% invisible and filled with invisible phantom matter and vacuous processes that no one has ever seen anywhere.  All of these phantom processes and matter were contrived mathematically with their first principle that matter is not continually changing relationally.

The text of II Peter 3:3 -6 goes beyond predicting the elementary basis for scientific reasoning.  It also predicts how the end time mockers will obfuscate [Greek lanthano] the evidence from two areas of earth history.  It is indeed in these two areas that we see the simple evidences that support a literal biblical earth-history.  This evidence even supports a literal biblical age of the universe, vast ages in few cycles of the heavenly bodies. 

The evidence for biblical physics is in the heavens.  Psalms 19:1-4 "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.  Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.  There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.  Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world."  It is in the heavens that knowledge is available to all.  Only in the distant heavens can we see the past all the way back to the age of creation. 

How can I verify that the modern primary assumption is false?  When I was younger, I actually believed in “space-time expansion” - that the vacuum of empty space stretches the light passing through it.  An astronomer would say the redshift from the distant galaxies has a linear relationship to distance. But wait! They used the same redshift to calculate the distance. The astronomer might answer that they confirmed their theory using the luminosity of variable stars and super novas. Ah, but they had to invent invisible “dark energy” to make the data fit. In the scientific system, every galaxy is surrounded by a huge cloud of invisible matter to try and force their laws of physics on the universe. 

It dawned on me that the Bible had a simpler explanation. The simpler explanation is that the whole scope of physical reality continually changes as a relationship. The distant atoms were smaller and did not move like local matter.  By simply accepting the words of the Bible that everything, even matter, changes in an orderly manner, I could accept the visible evidence from the distant galaxies.  I no longer needed to imagine that empty space was magically stretching the light passing through it. I could simply accept that the light I observed was the same as the light transmitted, with minor changes due to relative velocity. Although the universe remains a complex place, biblical principles give answers that ordinary people without mathematical skills can understand.

The biblical principles allow me to take the evidence from the distant universe at face value. I realized I had no need for invisible dark matter, dark energy, black holes, a big band, or cosmological expansion. No one directly sees evidence for these invisible things. In fact, they violate the most common sense rules of evidence since they could not be seen even if they did exist. The reader may say, but black holes must exist.  Isn't it amazing that we often see matter being propelled in high speed jets away from the core of galaxies? The matter does not even bend from the proposed dense gravitation.  The reader might argue that astronomers have volumes of evidence for a big bang, cosmological redshift, dark energy, dark matter and black holes.  However this evidence is merely mathematical, based on an assumption, and almost never visible.  In fact, the scientific universe is 99% invisible.  They invent vacuum processes and invisible matter to explain away the simple visible evidence that everything changes as a relation.  None of these invisible things are necessary if one simply accepts the biblical statement that matter changes.

The Bible makes some remarkable statements about astronomy.  I discovered that I had never interpreted the biblical statements about astronomy with grammar.  I had explained away the simplest way to read the Bible because such a reading was unscientific.  Now that I am free from the modern first principle, I can actually interpret the Bible in its grammatical, historical context.  What the Old Testament actually says about astronomy with grammar is absolutely amazing.  It repeatedly mentions a dense firmament being pounded out, spread out continuously.  We can actually see the past in the distant parts of the universe.  We see dense primordial galaxies as they begin to periodically eject their arms and diffuse structures.
