Against Black Holes

Christians have good reason to reject the foundational belief that is the basis for scientific earth histories. The Bible predicts that mockers in the last days obscure (lanthano) the plural heavens (ouranoi) because they consider that “all things remain the same (panta houtos diameni).” Indeed, modern scientists darken galactic history with stories about invisible matter and light frequencies altered by empty space. Scientists make up these obscurantist stories despite the fact that galactic history is the only history that is visible as it happened. Scientists invent unfalsifiable explanations because their definitions, methods, measuring units and mathematical laws were historically built on the very idea Peter predicted. The foundational assumption for western science is the scientific first principle that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging relationally.

Changing Earth Creationists interpret earth-history with the biblical principle that the creation is enslaved to change (Greek phthora). In general, the atoms from the most-distant galaxies shone with the slowest clock frequencies, relative to local, faster atomic clocks. This visible evidence confirms that the creation is enslaved to change. CEC understand the nature of substance using the biblical text. First Elohim created (completed action) the plural heavens and the earth, all of them (Hebrew et). At this stage the Earth had a surface (paniym), yet it had no form, no extension in space; it was tohu bohu. Then Elohim continually commanded light to continue to be. Evidently matter’s ability to take up space is intimately related to light that dithers around within atoms. Indeed we observe that local atoms expand when heated as light that escapes shines at bluer colors. Because CEC interpret the world using biblical principles, rather than scientific ones, their evidence is visible rather than merely mathematical.

Let’s compare CEC and scientific explanations for “black holes.” Scientists explain that black holes are so dense that they distort space and time. They form as stars collapse and they grow as matter continues to fall into the hole. From the perspective of a distant observer, time supposedly slows to an infinitely slow speed at the event horizon. Therefore, an observer cannot observe matter disappearing into an invisible place. Throughout the cosmos, visible jets spread out from point sources. Scientists explain that the jets are evidence for spinning black holes. They also have an explanation for why the emerging jet does not bend from the black hole’s intense gravity. Although the gravity is so intense that light can’t escape, the hole’s magnetic field propels matter outward at near light speed. Such ad hoc stories are conveniently unfalsifiable.

CEC understand the universe with light, not mathematics. We observe point sources in quasars, micro quasars and active galactic nuclei ejecting matter at all ranges in the universe. What we observe is tohu bohu matter as it begins to take up space as a relation with light. Why does the beginning of the jet have a jumbled spectra and why doesn’t it bend from gravity? At first the quantum states are just beginning to form. At this point the jet has minimal gravitational properties. As the jet emerges, it becomes bluer in color than other matter at that range. Halton Arp documents how emerging globs eventually become redder as they distance themselves from the active galaxy source. CEC can accept what is visible as fact, since they are not trying to mathematically solve the problem with a creed about unchanging atoms.

A western creationist might counter, God finish the creation in six days so how could matter emerge and spread out? Lets examine the text of Genesis 2:1 “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.” The “completed” verb shows that the intense aspects of creation were finished. Yet the imperfect shows that passively an unfinished condition continues towards completion. In verse 2, “By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.” The word kalah again shows that He completed His work. However, the verb is again imperfect - showing an action that continues toward completion.

It is in the plural heavens (shamayim), the galaxies, that we observe that the host of them were finished at creation, yet they continue to change as they spread out in unbroken continuity. Hundreds of billions of naked primordial galaxies paper the distant sky. We observe at many closer ranges, that bluish globs (relative to the redder cores) came out, accelerated outward, often in equally spaced chains. Every clock, atomic and inertial, keeps on visibly accelerating as galaxies visibly grew from naked dwarfs to huge, local, growth spirals.

Isaiah 44:24-25 “I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone, Causing the omens of boasters to fail, Making fools out of diviners, Causing wise men to draw back And turning their knowledge into foolishness.” In unbroken continuity, He stretches out the plural heavens and the Earth. Indeed we find that the continents only fit together on a tiny globe without major seas. Every ocean contains an expansion seam that continues to ooze out new basaltic seafloor. Two thirds of the earth’s surface spread out in the oceans since the continents were separated. Scientific stories about subduction are denied by the layered undisturbed sediments in the ocean trenches.

Scientists invent black holes and other undetectable things (like subduction) to protect their creed that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging. Yet it is in the plural heavens, the raqiya shamayim - the plural heavens that spread out in unbroken continuity, that we see the simple evidence that the properties of matter are dynamic and emerging. We can see how He will make foolish science, just as He promises. We see with our eyes, not mathematical symbols, the simple direct evidence for biblical physics and biblical cosmic history.

CEC can simply accept that tohu bohu matter exists at the center of galaxies and the center of the earth. Matter continues to take up shape as God continues to command light to continually be just like the literal Hebrew text of the Bible states.
